Derelict Petrol Station On Broadgate & ORourkes

Probably one of the most foolishly placed petrol stations in Lincoln was "Save" on Broadgate, terrible for access, terrible placement for getting customers and terrible when you wished to leave. Perhaps that is why it closed down? It has now been purchased for development. Next door was ORourkes pub, now also derelict, probably purchased with it. The first two pictures are the Save Petrol Station from above (taken from the top of the multi-storey car park), the last 3 are of ORourkes. Photographs taken on sunny 9th Feb 2006.

Special thanks go to a very helpful multi-storey car part attendant, cheers!

  • Great work. Keep it up as I'd like to see a lot more.

Regarding the sun you do usually need some to make a nice photo and we've hardly had in Newcastle for months now. I can't wait for spring and summer so I can get out with my camera.
